The new franchises are doing a pretty good job this season. They are picking up from where they left off last season and are both impressing with the ball in particular. Lucknow in particular will be moved by the fact that they were able to defend a middling score, or infact, a low score, given the way T20 Cricket has been played off late.
Date: April 22nd, 2023
Time: 3:30 PM IST
Venue: Lucknow
The temperatures are rising in Lucknow with a warm evening very likely.
The Lucknow track is a little more two-paced and slower. Runs are slightly tough to come by and it is one of the few venues where batting first may be a better option.

Kyle Mayers
With his explosive hitting and medium pace up front, Kyle Mayers has made himself a tough candidate to leave out. He gives the Lucknow management a happy headache with Quinton De Kock coming back, leaving Lucknow wondering who to leave out.
Sai Sudharshan
Sai Sudharshan, with two innings, is proving to be a pretty strong prospect this IPL. Left-handed, and with the ability to rotate strike effectively with proper cricketing shots, has made him a really good player to watch this season.

Krunal Pandya vs Hardik Pandya: The Pandya brothers face off. Both brothers are key players given their ability in the middle order and also their ability to pick up key wickets with the ball, making their face off important in the context of the game.
Gujarat Titans remain a strong side and their bowling stats show a lot of promise, leaving them as favorites.
