The Netherlands have a lot of positives to look at after their first game. They were competitive for most parts, restricting Pakistan to a manageable score, and looked pretty solid with the bat as well. Batting collapses and a lack of big-game experience have prevented them from closing out, making the margin look bigger than it actually is.
New Zealand will be flying high. They crushed England and announced themselves in the most Kiwi way possible. Starting without Tim Southee, Kane Williamson, and Lockie Ferguson, New Zealand was left with few to select and came into the tournament under the radar. A fact that is often forgotten though is that a New Zealand team that goes under the radar is likely to be more scary.
They were clinical, restricting a powerful England batting line-up to 282. With the bat, they went about their chase in a fashion that is often associated with the English Team. Playing Rachin Ravindra at number three, he added to some happy headaches with a counter-attacking century supporting Devon Conway as they won by nine wickets with fourteen overs to go.
Date: October 9th, 2023

Venue: Hyderabad
The weather looks pretty clear for the upcoming fixture.
The Hyderabad track generally aids high scores but can get a little slower as the game goes on. With no grass, wear and tear is likely and batting first will be a better option.

Devon Conway
Devon Conway has been all hit or miss this year. He has some really good scores a handful of sub-20 scores and nothing in between. He is a player who relies on consistency. He can be backed to give his team a solid start up front. For Netherlands though they will be hoping to have Conway dismissed early as he is very tough to get rid of once set.
Bas De Leede
Bas De Leede has been marked as a player to keep an eye on in this tournament. His skills were on display in the very first game as he single-handedly kept the heat on Pakistan. Taking four wickets and scoring 60-odd, Bas De Leede has shown that he has the ability to contribute equally with both bat and ball.
On Head to head and experience New Zealand come in with the upper hand. They are the more skilled side but the Netherlands have shown that they do have the ability to put pressure on the big sides. They are showing that they are not a side to be taken lightly. The Netherlands will be hoping to challenge the favorites for the fixture, New Zealand.
