Lahore Qalandars are through to the next round. They are the first side to make the Semi Finals and look very good as they found some incredible consistency and have a very stable line-up. Zalmi too are in the top four and will need to win here to cement their spot as they match Multan and Islamabad on eight points.
Date: March 7th 2023
Time: 2:30 PM IST
Venue: Rawalpindi
The Weather at Rawalpindi is pretty good for the upcoming game.
A flat track full of runs is expected at Rawalpindi.
Played- 16 | Lahore Qalandars- 7 | Peshawar Zalmi- 9
Shaheen Afridi (C), Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafique, Kusal Mendis (Wk), Rashid Khan, Zaman Khan, Hussain Talat, Sikandar Raza, Ahmed Daniyal, Haris Rauf, Liam Dawson
Babar Azam, Tom Kohler Cadmore, Bhanuka Rajapaksha, Saim Ayub, Rovmann Powell, Mohammad Haris, James Neesham, Aamer Jamal, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Wahab Riaz, Usman Qadir
After a bad game last week, Rashid Khan has come back to prove why he is one of the best bowlers going around in the domestic circuit. From bowling one of his most expensive spells, Rashid Khan came back with both wickets and economy and is now looking very dangerous. He has some history in head to heads with Babar Azam and the battle between the two will be fun to watch.
Despite results not coming their way, Zalmi will be happy with how Riaz has been bowling. He has been on the expensive side occasionally, but still remaisn among the wickets and could play a big part if they are to rise in the points table.
Lahore has five wins in five games. However with the potential in Peshawar’s line-up and with Babar Azam’s presence, there could be no side better than Peshawar to create some magic to break Lahore’s win streak.
