A month ago, South Africa and India lost ODIs at the biggest stage to set up a memorable heartbreak. They now face off in the format once again but with a lot less on the line and with a lot of main players missing as they prepare for the Test series.
The last time India went to South Africa for a bilateral ODI series though they were whitewashed. This time around with a young side India will be hoping to prevent a repeat of what happened two years ago.

Reeza Hendricks
Quinton De Kock’s retirement gives Reeza Hendricks an advantage. He has a series here to play himself in and show that he should be the first-choice opener in the side.
KL Rahul
KL Rahul has been out of the T20 side for a bit but is batting with some strong intent in ODI Cricket. He is settled in the ODI Format but has found himself in a funny situation with him struggling to consistently make the Test and T20 side.
Both South Africa and India are trying some new players here. India though do have some experience in their side and could back themselves to make a mark in South Africa.
