Bangladesh head to the West Indies with a completely new look. For starters, Shakib Al Hasan, retired, and Mushfiqur Rahim are out. This will therefore be Bangladesh's first Test without either of them after over a decade. There is experience and some rising star power though with Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz proving to be handy players in recent times.
The West Indies though will feel a lot more settled. They have some seasoned players in the line-up but were given a hiding in England on their last visit and will be waiting to get back to winning ways at home.
Date: November 22nd, 2024

Venue: North Sound, Antigua
The weather is pretty cool and the Test could see some significant interruptions due to rain with showers expected throughout the Test.
North Sound was once pretty lively for the pacers but is now a pretty low and slow track. Spin is expected to play a good part while pace too could find some help early on. Batting first is a better choice though.

Najmul Hossain Shanto
Najmul Hossain Shanto is a reluctant captain at the moment. Before captaincy he was a star batter for Bangladesh but captaincy seems to have weighed him down. He was hoping to step down but with few options available will be leading in this series. The challenge now for him is to make sure he can find form with the bat while he continues to lead the team for the time being.
Kraig Brathwaite
Shanto's opposite number, Brathwaite, has also been in poor form of late. One of the most consistent openers of his time, the last two series has seen him get starts but not convert which is something Brathwaite will be looking to change given the importance of the Test format for him.
West Indies could be favorites at home with their pace attack and the inexperience of Bangladesh in the Caribbean
