Two Asian teams get ready to face off in the Sharjah heat. It will be a different encounter here though with the game stretching into the night sky, leading to a significant part of the game impacted by the dew factor. The dew in particular can be a concern for both sides who are strong with spin and are more reliant on patient batting rather than aggressive batting.
Date: October 3rd, 2024
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Sharjah International Cricket Stadium
A hot evening with dew is expected.
Given Sharjah will be hosting its second game in the day there could be some wear on the pitch from the first game. The ball may stop a little more as the game progresses and that could give an advantage to the side batting first, which can also be balanced with dew.

Chamari Athapaththu
Chamari Athapaththu is into the twilight stage of her career but is also enjoying a rich vein of form. She carried her side to an Asia Cup win and is a Sri Lankan Women's Cricket legend. She loves a challenge and will be eager to set the tournament alight with her performance.
Muneeba Ali
Muneeba Ali was pretty solid in the early parts of the Warm up games. She is batting well up front and looks like she knows how to make use of the fielding restrictions which is a key trait to maintain while playing on batting friendly grounds in the United Arab Emirates.
Once, both sides were equally matched for skill. That has changed over time though. Sri Lanka, with more experience and a strong captain will be believing that the ycan go a little further than expected in this tournament.
