The WTC final finally comes to Lords. Australia and South Africa have met at Lords once back in 1912 and now for the WTC Finals. South Africa come in with the weight of previous tournaments. They still have the C-tag on them but will know that a lot of 2 Test series over the last five years leaves them well prepared for a one-off Test which gives little time to start. The South African side additionally comes in with little weight on their shoulders as it is a relatively new team with only Aiden Markaram and Temba Bavuma previously facing Australia among the batters. Kagiso Rabada comes in after a spicy period as well and he is one who has had a few run-ins against Australia.

For Australia, most of their line-up has been there and done that. Except Beau Webster, the expected XI has all been a part of the previous WTC Final at Oval. The line-up comes in full of experience with one of the greatest Test batters in Steve Smith and the famous four-pronged attack which is the only attack to play together with more than 250 wickets each. They have buckets of experience throughout. There is still some new roles involved though. Marnus Labuschagne is likely to open while Cameron Green will be playing as a pure batter at number three.

South Africa vs Australia Players to Watch

Keshav Maharaj

Rabada could be the one to rush the Australians but a player who has silently done his job for nearly a decade in the side is Keshav Maharaj. As a spinner, he is often not spoken about enough for Maharaj has been around and done wonders regardless of the conditions and he could be expected to play a big role on a drier pitch last Lords.

Travis Head

Travis Head was the hero of the last WTC Final and he could do it again. Can he find his range against South Africa is to be seen but he has been in wonderful rhythm as a Test batter over the last WTC Cycle.

South Africa vs Australia Match Tips

South Africa come in with the famous tag on them while Australia are full of players who have one trophies, championships and have played a countless set of Finals. On experience alone, Australia come in as favorites while they stand ahead with both bat and ball at the moment giving South Africa some serious underdog tags.
