After providing a strong start in the Manchester Test, Indian opener KL Rahul lost his wicket in the early second session of the opening day of the Test match.

KL Rahul has set a great example of a dependable performer for India in the ongoing England tour with his consistent batting performances in almost every innings of the series. Once again, he set up a strong tone for the visitors in the Manchester Test.

Leading the five-match Test series by 2-1 after three matches, England Test captain Ben Stokes chose to field first in the fourth Test at Manchester. Indian openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal set up a perfect start for the visitors as India scored 78/0 at the lunch break. While Jaiswal scored 36 not out, Rahul was batting at 40 runs.

KL Rahul dismissed after scoring 46 runs

In the early second session of the opening day, after the 94-run opening partnership, Rahul was dismissed for 46 runs off 98 balls, where the right-handed batter hit four fours. English pacer Chris Woakes, who was bowling really well on the morning session with the new ball, deserved that wicket, as it had a late away movement, and Rahul's bat found an edge that travelled to the third slip Zak Crawley. Crawley didn't miss that easy chance, as England finally got that wicket after hard work.
