In the Super-8 round of the T20 World Cup 2026, India's second match is against Zimbabwe. This match will be held on February 26 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Both teams faced heavy defeats in their first matches, which makes a win essential to stay in the semifinal race. India was defeated by South Africa by 76 runs in their first Super-8 match, while Zimbabwe lost to the West Indies by 107 runs. As a result, both India and Zimbabwe have a negative net run rate.

Although Zimbabwe faced a heavy defeat against the West Indies in their first Super-8 round match, they had an amazing performance in the group stage. During this time, Zimbabwe also defeated Australia and Sri Lanka. In such a scenario, Zimbabwe's team could pose a problem for India as well. For this reason, Team India will need to be cautious of Zimbabwe.

Let's tell you about three players from Zimbabwe who could be a major threat to India in the Super-8 match.

1. Sikandar Raza

Sikandar Raza can be a big threat for Team India

Zimbabwe's captain Sikandar Raza could prove to be a big threat for India, as he is an expert player in the T20 format. Sikandar can perform brilliantly both with the ball and the bat and can be a major danger for any team on his day. Under his captaincy, Zimbabwe is performing quite well. Sikandar Raza has also performed well in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Raza has mainly excelled with the bat, but his spin bowling could also be effective in Chennai. For this reason, India needs to be cautious of him.

2. Brian Bennett

Brian Bennett performed excellently so far in T20 World Cup 2026

Zimbabwe's 22-year-old opener, Brian Bennett, has shown excellent form in the 2026 T20 World Cup. Bennett has scored 180 runs in four innings at an average of 180. He has scored two half-centuries during this period and has a strike rate of 124.13. The right-handed opener has remained unbeaten three times so far. Consequently, Bennett could pose a significant threat to India. The Indian bowlers will need to find a way to dismiss Bennett as quickly as possible.

3. Blessing Muzarabani

Blessing Muzarabani second highest wicket taker in T20 World Cup 2026

Zimbabwe’s fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has shown excellent form in the T20 World Cup 2026 and is the second most successful bowler in the tournament so far. Muzarabani has taken 11 wickets in four innings at an average of 10.27. This bowler possesses all the skills required to bowl in the T20 format. Therefore, Indian batsmen need to be wary of Muzarabani, as getting early wickets could make things easier for the other Zimbabwean bowlers.
