The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 began on March 28 and is set to continue till May 31, as the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the final of the competition. The two-month-long cricketing event sees ten sides fighting for the trophy. 

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is the defending champion after winning the 2025 season of the competition and looks strong and balanced to earn two successive trophies.

1.Sai Sudharsan (Gujarat Titans)- (638)

Sai Sudharsan has been superb and consistent throughout the IPL 2026. Along with Shubman Gill, he has done a really good job in holding one end and putting big scores on the board.

The southpaw has nailed 638 runs in 14 innings at an average of 49.07 and a strike rate of 157.92, thanks to seven half-centuries and one century, which came against RCB at the best score of 100. 

2. Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans)- (616)

Gill has never been away from the top five run-getters of the IPL in the last few editions. Along with shouldering the responsibility of the Gujarat Titans, he has been tremendous in the opening position. It’s an important season for him after being away from T20I cricket.

The India ODI captain has smashed 616 runs in 13 innings at an average of 47.38 and a strike rate of more than 161.67, thanks to six half-centuries at the best score of 86 runs. 

3. Heinrich Klaasen (Sunrisers Hyderabad)- (606) 

It’s quite phenomenal that Heinrich Klaasen is holding the same beast form in this IPL 2026 despite being away from the T20I cricket due to his international retirement. He struggled to get his timing right at the start of the tournament, but regained the momentum beautifully towards the end.

The right-handed batter has smashed 606 runs in 14 innings at an average of over 50 and a strike rate of 159.47, scoring six half-centuries at the best score of 69 runs. He has drilled 30 sixes and 46 boundaries in this process. 

4. KL Rahul (Delhi Capitals)- (593)

One of the most consistent batters of the Indian Premier League (IPL), who goes under the scanner in getting under the lime light, is KL Rahul. Every single season, irrespective of the franchise, the Indian star turns up with loads of runs at any position of the batting department. 

Rahul finished the IPL 2026 with 593 runs in 14 innings at an average of 45.62 and a fine strike rate of 174.41, thanks to five half-centuries and one century at the best score of unbeaten 152 runs which came against the Punjab Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. 

5. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (Rajasthan Royals)- (583)

Hardly anyone believed that a 15-year-old would find himself among the top five run-getters of the Indian Premier League (IPL), amidst the number of notable and classical batters of India and overseas. But Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has impressed everyone with his brutal hitting and great maturity at such a young age.

The Bihar-born has smashed 583 runs in 14 innings at an average of 41.64 and a blistering strike rate of 232.27, thanks to three half-centuries and one century at the best score of 103 runs. He has drilled 50 boundaries and 53 sixes in this process.
