Frequent squad reshuffles are a natural part of the Indian Premier League, especially for newer franchises trying to find the right balance. While some decisions help teams evolve quickly, others end up backfiring when released players go on to excel elsewhere.

Lucknow Super Giants quickly established itself as a competitive side with smart signings and consistent performances in their initial seasons. However, a few players who were once part of their setup later proved their value for other teams, making those release decisions questionable in hindsight. On that note, here are the top three worst releases by Lucknow Super Giants in IPL history.

1. Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi Bishnoi was one of the most promising young spinners in the league during his time with LSG. His ability to control runs and pick wickets in the middle overs made him a crucial part of their bowling attack.

However, the franchise chose to release him, and he later continued his growth as a reliable spinner for his current team, the Rajasthan Royals. Letting go of a young Indian talent with such potential could prove to be a costly mistake in the long run.
