The Gujarat Titans did not have a successful run in the IPL 2024. After reaching the tournament's finals for the second year in a row, they had a forgettable previous edition by ending eighth in the league stage. The franchise had a triumphant start in the IPL, winning the title in their first season in 2022.

In addition, they advanced to the finals of the 2023 season when they were defeated by the five-time winners, Chennai Super Kings. While attempting to rebuild the squad before the mega auctions, they will also want to maintain the core together and sturdy. Here are three players who the Titans might keep before the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill did not have the most successful spell as team captain, but he is still an essential component of the batting order. Over the last three seasons, Gill has established himself as a dependable opener, frequently providing the club with a solid start and laying the groundwork for a late flourish, a crucial phase in a T20 game where the team aims to score maximum runs in the final overs.

Furthermore, the GT franchise will unlikely oust him as captain after only one season. To bring together the next batch of players under Gill's leadership, the Titans are anticipated to keep the current Indian white-ball vice-captain. He has played an essential part in developing the young IPL team. In 2024, he scored 426 runs in 12 matches, including two half-centuries and a century.

Sai Sudharshan

Sai Sudharsan has been excellent since his IPL debut with the Gujarat Titans. In the 2024 season, he emerged as one of the tournament's top run scorers. The left-handed batter scored 527 runs in only 12 innings, with an average of 47.90 and a strike-rate of 141.28.

His fantastic performance spanned one century and two half-centuries. Sudharshan is an exciting talent with a promising future, which might influence the GT club to consider retaining him, especially considering his consistent and impactful performances in the previous season.

Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan, the Afghan superstar, has established himself as a significant member of the GT team thanks to his outstanding all-around performance. Rashid Khan has established his importance to the Titans by turning the game around with a fantastic bowling effort or scoring key runs under duress.

Furthermore, Rashid Khan's presence adds dynamism and flexibility to the management team. The Titans will aim to keep Rashid Khan to maintain their current composition because of his importance to the club. In his 2024 all-around tenure, he has taken ten wickets and scored 102 runs in 12 matches.
