India's batting, usually the team's biggest strength, failed to deliver when it mattered most. The top order rarely provided solid starts, while the middle order lacked the stability needed to rebuild innings after early wickets.

England, in contrast, received meaningful contributions from almost every batter, allowing them to post imposing totals and chase confidently. India, however, became heavily dependent on one or two players in every match, with partnerships proving difficult to come by. Their inability to counter the short-ball strategy and rotate strike under pressure further highlighted the batting unit's shortcomings throughout the tour.
