India captain Rohit Sharma, star India player Suryakumar Yadav and other players sent in their tributes to the late great Ratan Tata, following his death on October 9, Wednesday. Ratan Naval Tata, the famous figure of Indian industry and Chairman Emeritus of Tata Group, passed away late Wednesday at the age of 86. He was going through treatment for a long-standing illness at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital in the days before his demise.
The veteran business tycoon had led the transformation of Tata Group into a global company through several high-profile acquisitions. However, various personalities from politics and entertainment sent in their tributes on the demise of Mr. Tata as well. Now, the cricketing world has joined in with Rohit Sharma and others as well. The Indian captain shared an emotional note for Mr. Tata, referring to him as a man with a heart of gold.

Meanwhile, India's T20I captain Suryakumar also called Mr. Tata's death is the end of an era and praised him as an inspirational man as well. "End of an era. Your legacy will live on. Rest in glory, sir," added Suryakumar Yadav.

However, Mr. Tata will be given a state funeral by the Maharashtra government on Thursday as well.
