Ahead of the Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 2026) draft, star players of Afghanistan can take a strong stance against Pakistan. In a recent report it is claimed that multiple players of the Afghanistan national team are set to stay away from the PSL 2026 players draft.

The political relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan worsened after an airstrike that took the lives of multiple civilians, including three young Afghan cricketers. In protest, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) issued a strong statement against Pakistan. After the tragic incident, ACB decided to withdraw their team from a Tri-Nation T20I Series involving Pakistan.

"In response to this tragic incident and as a gesture of respect to the victims, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has decided to withdraw from participating in the upcoming Tri-Nation T20I Series involving Pakistan," the ACB stated.
