Afghanistan started the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe with a victory by 37 runs in the opening clash at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah as they bundled out the visitors for 140 runs in the defence of 177 runs on a surface that became tough to bat on in the second innings. 

At 66/5 in the 12th over of the innings, Afghanistan were under massive pressure before Ijaz Ahmad Ahmadzai smashed a dashing knock of 52 runs off 22 balls at a strike rate of 236.36 with the help of four boundaries and as many sixes, along with captain Rashid Khan’s 10-ball 30-run knock.

The second T20I of the series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will be played on October 29 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah. The game will begin at 8:00 pm. Blessing Muzarabani, who missed the opening game due to injury, may return for the second game.

Unfortunately for the fans, the second T20I of the series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe won’t be telecast in India on any channel on October 30, Friday. The opening encounter, however, will be available to stream on the FanCode app and the website in India.
