During the final of the tri-series 2026 between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Allah Ghazanfar grabbed a superb one-handed catch to dismiss Tsiga as the moment went viral on social media platforms. That catch was important to slow down the Sikandar Raza-led side inside the powerplay.
Zimbabwe started the series against Bangladesh with a 99-run victory when they defended 271 runs in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, Afghanistan earned wins in both clashes of the group stage against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe by seven wickets and 158 runs, respectively.
Ghazanfar’s diving one-hander at short square leg sends Tsiga back
It was the fourth delivery of the seventh over of the first innings. After the three deliveries outside the off stump, the left-arm fast bowler, Fazalhaq Farooqi, bowled one full delivery on the leg stump as Tafadzwa Tsiga failed to keep the ball down when he played the flick shot.

The right-handed batter hit the ball to the square leg, where Allah Ghazanfar stuck his right hand out and hanged it on. That ball was travelling fast, as the fielder had very little time to react. But he showed sharp reflexes to cling on and ensured that the ball would stay in his hand.
Ghazanfar, despite falling on the ground, held the ball strongly and didn’t let it smell the grass. There was no surprise that the entire Afghanistan side ran towards him to embrace him. Ghazanfar offered the pacer his second wicket of the afternoon and put the opposition under more pressure.
