In the series, Shubman Gill acted as the skipper of the team. So far, the young captain and batter has been struggling on the bouncy tracks of Australia, ahead of the last 50-over match of the series, which is a prestige fight for the Men in Blue, as Australia already is leading the series by 2-0. According to some latest claims from several sources, India can shuffle their batting order for the remaining match of the ODI series.
The team management can try out a different opening pair in Sydney. Rohit Sharma played a brilliant fifty-plus-run innings in the previous match and proved why he is still valuable for the side. Before the second match, Ajit Agarkar and Gautam Gambhir were spotted with another opener of the squad, Yashasvi Jaiswal, during one of India's net sessions.

Team India to change Shubman Gill's batting position?
It is needless to say that the team, which is currently going through a transition phase, needs to look out for all of their possible options. Jaiswal and Sharma is a potential opening pair on paper. To make this happen, the batting position of Gill has to change. The current ODI team captain can play as a number three batter as well.
Another question is, will the Indian team management play Kuldeep Yadav in the 3rd match? Multiple cricket experts urge the management to include the Chinaman spinner in the playing combination. So far, without Jasprit Bumrah, the bowling attack of the team has not looked effective enough to take wickets at crucial moments.
