Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been released from Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital (SDMH). The 21-year-old suffered a head injury during the Mumbai vs Uttarakhand match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Earlier, the star batter had picked up a nasty neck injury during Mumbai’s clash against Uttarakhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26 on December 26. He injured his neck and shoulder while fielding in the match.

After the incident, Raghuvanshi was taken off the field on a stretcher and rushed to a hospital in Jaipur, as per reports. The incident took place in the 30th over of Uttarakhand’s innings. A batter went for a slog sweep, and Raghuvanshi, who was fielding at deep mid-wicket, tried to dive for the catch. During the attempt, the youngster ended up injuring himself.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi Suffers Concussion During VHT Match

The incident took place in the second innings of the 2025–26 Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) match when Tanush Kotian was bowling the 30th over. Uttarakhand batter Saurabh Rawat attempted a slog sweep against the off-spinner. The ball took a top edge and went towards the mid-wicket area, where Angkrish Raghuvanshi was fielding.

While trying to take the catch at deep mid-wicket, Angkrish’s head hit the ground. He failed to complete the catch and was seen in pain. Play was stopped immediately, but there was a delay in bringing the stretcher and ambulance. During this time, Angkrish struggled to move his head, raising concerns about a head and neck injury.

Availability for Next Match

After being taken off the field on a stretcher, Angkrishwas rushed to a nearby hospital for CT scans. Doctors later confirmed that he had suffered a concussion. The 21-year-old was kept under observation for a few hours before being discharged.

At present, it is not clear whether Angkrish will play Mumbai’s third-round match against Chhattisgarh on December 29. Even if he is cleared to play, the team may rest him as a precaution. The delay in medical support during the incident was also noted, as Raghuvanshi was visibly struggling and unable to move his neck at the time.
