The Max60 Caribbean League, a T10 tournament held in the Cayman Islands, faced several disruptions on July 17, 2025, with reports indicating that all four scheduled games were canceled. It started with one of the users on X, formerly known as Twitter, enquiring about the status of the 60-ball event. Later, the user revealed the suggestion that the second season is getting delayed.

It has been informed that the cancellations for the Caribbean event might be linked to the flight delays affecting the players or teams, though the weather was also mentioned as cloudy, but not raining. No official confirmation has been made yet on the tournament from its organizers or the detailed reasons for the cancellations of the competition. Flight delays could well be a reason that happens for air traffic, such as scheduling problems or technical difficulties.

Fans have asked for reasons for the tournament getting pushed behind schedule. On the other hand, it has also been noted that some of the notable players of the event from the previous and opening season are still left unpaid. This is just another reason for these T10 tournaments getting banned in the future.

According to the schedule, the opening game of the event will be between Trailblazers and Blaze, while Stingrays and Falcons will take on each other for the second encounter. Lions are the fifth side of the competition, along with the Vikings and Tigers, as the other two. The final is expected to be held on July 24.

In last year’s final, Caribbean Tigers won the title under the captaincy of George Munsey. The opening batter, Josh Brown, smashed 60 runs in just 18 deliveries at a strike rate of 333.33, thanks to four boundaries and five sixes. Chris Lynn, at number three, drilled 35 runs in 16 balls at a strike rate of over 200.

The Thisara Parera-led side was not in the chase from the start. He was the leading contributor with the bat, thanks to 25 runs in 11 balls. With the ball, Suranga Lakmal stood out for his spell of 3/9 in 1.1 overs, while Michael Leask ended with 2/13 in two overs. The likes of David Warner and Shakib Al Hasan are expected to feature in the 2025 season.
