Suryakumar Yadav gives savage reply to Mitchell Santner before T20 WC 2026 final

The Indian captain, Suryakumar Yadav, came into the press conference with a fresh mood on the eve of the final of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Straightaway after arriving before the mic, he was informed of the comments of his opposite number, Mitchell Santner.

During the first press conference, Mitchell Santner revealed his wish to silence the entire crowd and lift the trophy. It was the replica of the comment that Pat Cummins made during the final of the ODI World Cup 2023 at the same ground.

“Everyone is copying the same statement. Let others say something different. But the mood in the camp is very light and happy. It’s a special feeling, obviously, leading to the wonderful side in home soil, and that too in a very good stadium. It’s a special feeling, and everyone is very excited for it.” Suryakumar said in the pre-match press conference.

The circle has come back to the same stadium where we left in 2023. Hopefully, we play some good cricket and are courageous in tough situations.” Suryakumar Yadav addressed.
