During the ongoing Only Test of India Women’s tour to Australia at the WACA ground in Perth, Smriti Mandhana broke the internet with a special catch at the short leg. She didn’t have a great start at the field position, as she took a few blows on the body before the ball rolled in between the two legs of the player, and she could hardly do anything.

However, Smriti Mandhana grabbed an excellent catch at the position to dismiss Tahlia McGrath on the bowling of off-spinner Shafali Verma, during the second ball of the 76th over of the innings. It was a ball from the Indian opening batter that turned from the middle and gave a decent amount of bounce as it took the inside edge with McGrath looking to defend the ball.

The inside edge flew to star India left hand batter, who was watching the ball like a hawk. She reacted to the edge and punched it at short leg with the reaction time being less than a fraction of a second. India were pumped to get the wicket and gathered around Mandhana to celebrate the special moment.
