Fakhar Zaman, with his explosive batting at the top, is expected to provide quick starts for the Falcons. His ability to dominate bowlers from the onset will be crucial in setting up strong foundations for the team.
The Australian off-spinner Chris Green is a strategic inclusion. His experience in various T20 leagues and his knack for bowling economically during crucial phases make him a valuable asset to the Falcons.
From Afghanistan, the all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai joins the squad. Known for his powerful hitting and effective medium-pace bowling, Omarzai brings a balanced skill set to the team.
Local hero Brandon King is one of the prominent West Indian players in the Falcons’ squad. His ability to play both anchor and aggressive roles makes him a flexible option in the batting lineup.
Fabian Allen’s inclusion adds firepower to both the batting and bowling departments. His athletic fielding is an added bonus, making him a well-rounded player for the team.
The young talent Jewel Andrew, who represented West Indies in the Under-19 World Cup, is a promising addition. At just 17, his inclusion speaks volumes about his potential and the faith the Falcons have in nurturing young talent.
With 12 players already signed, the Falcons are looking to complete their squad at the draft in July. They will need to sign five more players to round out their team, ensuring a balanced mix of experience and youth.
The CPL 2024 will run from August 28 to October 6, with matches taking place across Barbados, Guyana, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Trinidad & Tobago. Notably, Antigua will host CPL games for the first time in ten years, adding to the excitement for local fans. The final will be held at the National Stadium in Providence, Guyana.
