During the presentation after the match, Ashutosh expressed his affection for Shikhar by handing the award to his mentor, Shikhar Dhawan, and happily addressing him as "Shikhar Paaji." He said that his leader had helped him so much and had been by his side in all the good and bad instances he had been through.

Ashutosh Sharma knew no bounds as he made an unbeaten 66 runs off 31 balls, striking five fours along with five sixes during the Delhi Capitals' one-wicket win against a strong Lucknow Super Giants side, who were chasing a tough total of 210. His 28-ball fifty and a crucial 64-run partnership with Vipraj Nigam in 22 balls turned the game, securing Delhi’s highest-ever IPL chase with three balls to spare.
