Cricket Australia named their 17-member T20I squad for their upcoming assignment against Pakistan. The Australia cricket team will travel to Pakistan later this month to play a three-match T20I series scheduled to be played in Lahore. This T20I series will be a part of both of the cricket news as a part of preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026, starting from February 2026. For this series, the cricket governing body of Australia has appointed Mitch Marsh as their captain, as Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Tim David will work on their fitness ahead of the T20 World Cup.

Aussies will play Twenty20 matches with the Pakistan cricket team in this series. The series is scheduled to start on January 29 and will be concluded on February 1. All the matches will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. It is worth noting that the upcoming T20 World Cup will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The series on Pakistani soil will be a good test for Australia to get accustomed to the subcontinent's situations.

"The series is a great opportunity for those on the brink of selection and some young players we rate highly to gain valuable experience with the World Cup group in Pakistan," selection chair George Bailey said.
