Indian all-rounder Axar Patel is in his home city as India are preparing for their last group stage match in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 against the Netherlands, which the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is set to host on Wednesday evening (February 18). Before the match, Axar is enjoying some good family time in his home city.

Axar Patel is the vice-captain of the Indian team in the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. The left-handed batter is struggling with the bat at the moment, as he scored 14, 0, and 0 in the tournament. However, the left-arm spinner is in good form with the ball, taking two wickets in all three fixtures of the group stage. For India, Axar is the joint leading wicket-taker in this tournament, with his leg-spin bowling partner Varun Chakravarthy, who has also taken six wickets in three games. 

Axar Patel is a very useful and important all-rounder, as he has returned to the vice-captaincy role for the ongoing T20 World Cup. Not only with the ball, but Axar is also useful with the bat, as he can play important roles both with the bat and ball. He can deliver important overs as a left-arm spinner and can even bowl in the powerplay. In the meantime, he can also score crucial runs as a left-handed batter at any position for the Men in Blue.
