A huge update has popped up late in the night. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed the name as their next president, as per the latest claims. It is said that former cricketer Mithun Manhas is elected as the BCCI president.
It was previously reported that there were multiple candidates who were in the race for the prestigious chair; Mithun was one of the front runners. It was learned that Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) president Raghuram Bhatt was also in the race to get the high-profile job. In the end, it is Mithun Manhas who was selected as the new president of BCCI, according to claims.
To select the most eligible person for the role, a meeting was held in New Delhi on Saturday (September 21). According to news reports, the meeting was held to finalize the candidates for the vacant posts in the Board ahead of the annual general meeting on September 28. Then, it was revealed that Manhas could be the person to take charge.

Who is Mithun Manhas?
Mithun Manhas is a former cricketer who represented Delhi for several years and was the captain. The all-rounder, during the later part of his career, represented Jammu and Kashmir in domestic cricket as well. The all-rounder, hailing from Jammu, played several Indian Premier League (IPL) seasons as well. He played IPL for three different teams—Delhi Capitals, Pune Warriors India (now defunct), and Chennai Super Kings. In first‑class cricket he played 157 matches, scoring around 9,714 runs at an average of 45.82, with 27 centuries and 49 fifties.
After concluding his professional cricket career, Manhas pursued his career in a coaching and mentorship role. He served Royal Challengers Bengaluru as an assistant coach as well.
