Heading into the mini-auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the eyes are on the star Australia all-rounder, Cameron Green, who is expected to bag a massive cheque, due to his incredible ability, with several franchises looking to get the foreign player. He can bat in the middle order and offer them a few overs with the ball.

On the eve of the mini-auction, Star Sports held a mock auction where Green was bought for a massive price of INR 30.5 crore by Robin Uthappa, who was the former wicket-keeper batter of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and was representing the franchise. If it does happen, then Green will become the most expensive buy of the IPL, overtaking Rishabh Pant from the previous season.

Green was listed as the batter in the auction list. But the youngster revealed that it was a stuff-up by his manager, who perhaps clicked the wrong box. He confirmed his availability with the ball during the tournament. He also reckoned that there would be excitement to see his new teammates.

I'll be good to bowl. I don't know if my manager would like to hear this, but there was a stuff-up on his end. He didn't mean to say 'batter'. I think he accidentally selected the wrong box. It was pretty funny how it's all played out, but it was actually a stuff-up on his end.Green expressed to the reporters in Adelaide.

I'm sure I will be [watching], with a few other guys. They're always good fun to watch. It's a bit of a lottery where you might go, but also who might be in your team, so it's always been fun to watch. The all-rounder shed light.
