Complaint lodged against Hardik Pandya for this shocking reason after winning T20 World Cup 2026
A complaint has been filed against the premier all-rounder of India's white-ball cricket, Hardik Pandya, for this shocking reason after the blue brigade won the T20 World Cup 2026 and defened their previous trophy.

An advocate has lodged a shocking complaint with the Pune Police in seeking registration for an FIR against the premier all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, for insulting the national flag after winning the T20 World Cup 2026, as they beat New Zealand at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Shivagai Nagar’s Police has confirmed that the complaint was submitted by advocate Wajid Khan.
The advocate stated that Hardik Pandya wrapped the tri-colour around his body and indulged in obscene behavior on the ground while making celebrations for their T20 WC 2026 win over the Kiwis on March 08. They have now defended their title successfully at home, besides overtaking England and the West Indies (2) with three trophies.

“The act constitutes an offence under the relevant law, and legal action should be taken. It is the duty of every citizen to respect the dignity of the national flag,” The complaint application has stated.

The all-rounder has smashed two half-centuries during the T20 WC 2026 with a fine knock of 52 runs in 28 balls against Namibia in Delhi, as he also produced devastating spells when they required the most to end the competition with nine wickets, bowling the vital powerplay overs.
“After the win in Barbados (in the 2024 final against South Africa), I promised myself that whichever tournament I play, I will play to win and I will lift the trophy. This win against New Zealand in Ahmedabad is a validation that the promise I made to myself has become a reality. And this is just the start.” Pandya said to Star Sports after winning the competition.
“Coming to this T20 World Cup victory in Ahmedabad, this is something I have always lived for. I play cricket to do well for my country and win trophies. I want to win all the trophies for India." India on Sunday became the first team to successfully defend the T20 World Cup title and also win it on three occasions since their triumph in the inaugural edition of the tournament way back in 2007.” The all-rounder said as the Suryakumar Yadav-led side claimed the first home T20 World Cup.
