CPL 2025, Match 20: Trinbago Knight Riders vs Saint Lucia Kings full match highlights and scorecard

During the 20th encounter of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025, the Trinbago Knight Riders locked horns with the Saint Lucia Kings at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. The David Wiese-led side won the toss and decided to bowl first on a surface, which was expected to get better in the second innings. 

For the Knight Riders, the management decided to make one change to the eleven. Terrance Hinds came into the side with the injured Mohammed Amir getting a break. On the other hand, Kings decided to retain the same playing eleven.

Trinbago Knight Riders’ drastic batting struggle end with 109

On the second ball of the first innings, the home side lost their inform batter, Colin Munro, for a duck while they found themselves three down inside the first six overs of the innings. Their strong middle order and lower order, consisting of Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell, couldn’t add much contribution with the bat and were bundled out for 109 runs in 18.1 overs in the first innings. Nathan Edwards was the second highest individual scorer with 17 runs in 24 balls.

Saint Lucia Kings make comfortable and firing chase in 11.1 overs

In less than two overs, the visitors fired their way to 26 runs. The centurion from the previous contest., Tim Seifert, clubbed 36 runs in just 19 deliveries, thanks to six boundaries and one six at a strike rate of nearly 190. At number three, Ackeem Auguste dashed 28 runs in 18 balls with the help of four boundaries and one six.

Roston Chase and Tim David remained unbeaten for a 39-run stand in less than four overs as they completed the run chase by seven wickets and with nearly nine overs to spare.
