But there was the twist. A video went viral on the special media platforms, which showed that on that very ball, while Nitish played the sweep, the wicket-keeper, Sanju Samson, had broken the stumps.

In that case, it should be called a dead ball according to the rule, where the keeper has no right to dislodge the stumps intentionally or unintentionally. That was where the Capitals were robbed.

Delhi didn’t make a great start with the bat as they were restricted to 69/5 in 11 overs, with their top five getting starts but failing to convert them into a good score.
