Digvesh Rathi and Nitish Rana had a past story of an on-field altercation, which also grabbed attention in the news headlines.  However, before Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) have the on-field meet in the IPL 2026, both players met each other and had a laugh to end their tense condition. 

Only two teams remained to begin their challenge in the IPL 2026, as LSG and DC will face each other on Wednesday night (April 1) in Lucknow, which will record at least one appearance of ten teams this season. The 26-year-old Digvesh Rathi is serving for LSG, while the 32-year-old Nitish Rana is playing for Delhi Capitals.

While Digvesh and Nitish had a past on-field altercation record, cricket fans know them for their on-field battles. However, the atmosphere has become softer, while both the cricketers had a laugh during their friendly meet ahead of their tournament opener. Lucknow Super Giants' social media reel post has captured their friendly moment, while Rishabh Pant also met his national team friend Kuldeep Yadav.

What exactly happened during their DPL face-off

During the Delhi Premier League 2025 (DPL 2025) Eliminator, Digvesh and Nitish had an on-field altercation, as they had an ugly heated argument, which was a verbal spat and aggressive behavior. While Digvesh was fined 80 percent of his match fee, Nitish was fined 50 percent of his match fee for that incident.
