DP World has announced young Indian batting star Abhishek Sharma as its latest brand ambassador, marking a significant expansion of the company’s growing presence in global cricket. Sharma becomes the third athlete to join DP World’s sports portfolio, which already features cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and world-renowned golfer Tommy Fleetwood.

Record-breaking T20I batter to champion DP World’s expanding cricket footprint

For Sharma, the partnership comes during a career-defining year. The explosive opener dominated the 2025 DP World Asia Cup, breaking the record for most runs in a single T20I edition with 314 runs in seven innings and securing the Player of the Tournament award. His consistency has also taken him to the top of the ICC Men’s T20I Batter Rankings, earning the highest rating in history.

Sharma’s first appearance for DP World took place during the “Diwali with the Stars” event at the inaugural DP World India Championship. He spoke proudly about the collaboration, noting DP World’s commitment to developing cricket at the grassroots level through initiatives such as Beyond Boundaries and their kits-for-runs program.
