Match 9 of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 was a thoroughly entertaining contest as the North Delhi Strikers (NDS) curtailed the Outer Delhi Warriors (ODW) by 19 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. After winning the toss, North Delhi Strikers elected to bat first, and the team put up a reasonable total with strong supporting performances from the ball.
North Delhi Strikers Innings: 163/7 (20 Overs)
Having chosen to bat first, NDS set up a fighting total of 163/7 in 20 overs. The innings was held together by Sarthak Ranjan, who, despite lacking partners, crafted a classy innings of 77 runs off of 50 balls while exhibiting composure and power hitting.
Vaibhav Kandpal's support should not go unnoticed, making a needed 38 off 33 to add some stability in the middle order, and the pair formed an important partnership of 62 runs off 55 balls. In the final overs, a late cameo from Arjun Rapria (17 off 9) helped unlock some much-needed quick runs.

- Harsh Tyagi had an economical spell of 4 overs, 2 for 20.
- Siddhant Sharma (c) had a pair of wickets at 2/35, and
- Kamal Bairwa added a pair of wickets as well with 2/37.
Outer Delhi Warriors Innings: 144/9 (20 Overs)
ODW fell short in their quest to chase the target; despite the promising efforts of Keshav Dabas (40 off 26) and the steady Sanat Sangwan (32 off 33), wickets fell at regular intervals.
Harsh Tyagi came in and tried to pick up the innings with a quick 19 off 11. Ultimately ODW's inability to build partnerships and NDS's pressure and disciplined bowling made the difference.
Bowling Highlights for NDS:
- Vikas Dixit starred with 3/19 from his required bowling.
- Kuldip Yadav striking at an important time to return with 3/32.
- Harshit Rana (c) led from the front with a 2/24.
