A deserving standing ovation for Joe Root. Ravindra Jadeja broke the rally. Root departed right after touching the 150-run milestone. An incredible knock at Old Trafford, Manchester. The batting maestro went back to the pavilion with a standing ovation from the crowd.
The combination of Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja helped India to get rid of the batter in form. The batter was looking rock solid on the crease, rotating the strike fluently. India was in huge trouble at Old Trafford. They were in search of some hope of a ray to survive the battle, and then, Ravindra Jadeja came again to rescue the team.
On the second delivery of the 120th over of England's first innings, the experienced Indian all-rounder pitched a ball on the line of the wicket. Root transferred his weight to his front foot to defend, but the ball turned sharply enough to trick the batter, who had just made 150. Dhruv Jurel equally deserved the credit for making the dismissal possible. With his lightning-fast reflexes, he collected the ball with precision and quickly knocked the bails down from the wicket. Joe Root had to depart.

When India got the scalp of Joe, England was already at 499 with their remaining 5 wickets. The right-handed batsman faced 248 balls, smashed 14 boundaries, and again proved why he is considered one of the best in the Whites in modern-day cricket.
Jurel is behind the stumps for Team India because of injured Rishabh Pant. Pant, deputy of skipper Shubman Gill, fractured his right foot. BCCI already informed us that Gill is not in 100 percent shape to carry on the gloves work, so Jurel has to step in, and he is in the mood to utilize the opportunity with open arms.
