The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 clash between the Rawalpindi and the Islamabad United at the National Stadium in Karachi saw a heated fight taking place between the two veterans of their national cricket side, Mohammad Amir and Faheem Ashraf, before the other players tried to cool them down.
The Rawalpindiz side came into the competition on the back of their eight successive defeats in nine encounters at a net run rate of -1.330. Meanwhile, the Shadab Khan-led side is in third position in the table, having won three games in eight.
Heated on-field confrontation shocks fans during PSL match
It was the third delivery of the 17th over of the innings when Mohammad Amir got the wicket of Faheem Ashraf for 11 runs. It was a slower ball into the deck at the left-handed batter as the latter tried to ramp it over the third man region but ended up gloving it to the wicket-keeper.
Amir gave the batter a send-off, which didn’t satisfy the batter at all. Ashraf sent a few words to the left-arm pacer before pointing his bat and looking seriously unhappy with something that took place. That could be the way the bowler asked the batter to get out of the middle.

Some of the Rawalpindiz players tried their best to cool down the situation. In the end, the United were restricted to 137 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Only four of their batters made their way into the double figures, with only Devon Conway (40) crossing the 35-run mark.
All of Amir, Saad Masood, and Dian Forrester bagged two wickets each in the first innings before the opponents completed the chase by six wickets with 11 balls to spare as Kamran Ghulam ended with 42 runs off 30 balls. It was the first victory for the Mohammad Rizwan-led side.
