The cricketing fraternity was left in shock after the untimely demise of Amanpreet Singh Gill, who passed away at the age of 36. Gill, a former Punjab cricketer and part of India’s Under-19 setup, had also been associated with the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) franchise during his career. His sudden passing has triggered an outpouring of grief from across the cricketing world.
Gill was regarded as a dedicated cricketer who contributed significantly to Punjab cricket, both as a player and later as a member of the senior selection committee. Having shared the dressing room with notable names during his early career, he remained a respected figure in domestic cricket circles.

He served Punjab cricket with dedication and passion, representing teams including India Under-19s, Kings XI Punjab and Punjab," tweeted Punjab Cricket Association.
"Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and loved ones.
May Waheguru grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family in this difficult time. Cremation will take place today at 4:00 PM at Manimajra Cremation Ground Chandigarh," added the Punjab Cricket Association.
