All of a sudden, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans received good news before their league stage was over. As per current media reports, ace Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood can take a flight to India again, which was not previously reported.
Along with an in-form batting line-up, RCB’s bowling department has done their job so far well as per their assignments, with Hazlewood in the front line. The right-arm medium-fast pacer proved lethal in the ongoing IPL 2025. So far in the tournament, the Aussie pacer has claimed 18 wickets in 10 matches.
Before the tension through the India-Pakistan border line and IPL’s one-week suspension, Hazlewood returned to his home for injury reasons. As per fresh reports, he is doing well in Australia and can return to the field soon. It was believed that RCB may miss the service from the bowler even in the play-off, as Australia is scheduled to face South Africa for the World Test Championship (WTC Final) title from June 11 at Lord’s, England.

For the final match, Australia will need preparations, and Hazlewood has been named in the squad. On the other side, the IPL 2025 play-off will commence from May 29 to June 1, followed by the final match on June 1.
So, it is now understood that if the pacer finds himself completely out of the injury and gets ample time to prepare for the WTC Final, then he can take a flight from Australia to India to join RCB for the IPL playoff. RCB, already confirmed for their spot in the next phase, will play a couple of games to conclude their league phase. Rajat Patidar’s team will look to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants with the hope of confirming a spot within the top two.
