Gujarat Titans will begin their IPL 2026 campaign against last season’s finalists Punjab Kings in Mullanpur. After the opening match, the team will return to their home ground in Ahmedabad to face Rajasthan Royals. According to the reportedly confirmed first-phase schedule of the new season, GT will then travel for two away matches. The franchise will yet again look to win the IPL title as the 19th season of the Indian Premier League commences.

Gujarat Titans had a good run in the IPL 2025 season. The team’s success has been mainly because of the performance of their top three hitters. But despite their good performance throughout the tournament, the team’s journey came to an end in the playoffs. Mumbai Indians knocked them out, ending their hopes of lifting the trophy.

GT has retained 20 players before the IPL 2026 mini-auction and entered the auction with a purse of Rs 12.90 crore. The franchise allowed Sherfane Rutherford to join Mumbai Indians on retention deadline day. Before that, South African pace all-rounder Gerald Coetzee and former Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka were also released. Karim Jannat, Kulwant Khejroliya and Mahipal Lomror were among the other players who were let go by the team.
