As per the fresh reports, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) are understood to be closing a deal to get the Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, in a game-changing trade ahead of the 2027 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The runners-up of the 2025 season of the league are prepared to give away Arshdeep and an Indian wicket-keeper to sign Pandya.
Pandya, meanwhile, hasn’t featured in any clash since the end of the previous IPL when he led the Mumbai franchise. Since then, he has struggled massively with his injury. He recovered and was picked for the India A side only to go back to the BCCI CoE for another injury setback.
Hardik Pandya to Punjab Kings, Arshdeep Singh to Mumbai Indians? What the trade reports say
The reports from Sportstar have revealed that the senior management of the two sides are all but agreed on the exchange. The documentation is expected to go ahead in the next few days. An official announcement is likely to happen later this week before the retention deadline on November 17.
Punjab are ready to give Arshdeep Singh and wicket-keeper Vishnu Vinod to Mumbai to get the all-round services of Hardik. They were interested in getting a match-winning all-rounder, even at the cost of their key fast bowler, who has been consistent and successful for the side.

Even with the ball, the Indian all-rounder has not progressed well, with four wickets in nine innings of the 2026 season at an average of 64.75 and an expensive economy rate of 11.42.
