ICC announces Men’s and Women’s Player of the Month for November 2025
Shafali Verma wins ICC Women’s Player of the Month for November 2025 after a match-winning all-round display in the Women’s World Cup final.

South Africa’s Simon Harmer and India’s Shafali Verma have been crowned the ICC Men’s and Women’s Players of the Month for November 2025, following standout performances on the biggest stages of international cricket.
Harmer claimed the men’s honour for the first time in his career after producing a series-defining spell of bowling in South Africa’s historic ICC World Test Championship triumph in India. The 36-year-old off-spinner finished the two-match series with a remarkable 17 wickets, playing a central role in South Africa’s 2-0 sweep, their first Test series victory on Indian soil in 25 years.
Harmer was outstanding across both Tests, taking figures of 4/30 and 4/21 in Kolkata before delivering a match-winning performance in Guwahati, where he followed up a 3/64 with a sensational 6/37. He ended the series with an average of 8.94, underlining his control, consistency and experience on spin-friendly surfaces. His efforts saw him edge past Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam and Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz in the voting. “It’s a privilege to be named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month,” Harmer said, dedicating the award to his teammates, coaches and family.

World Cup final heroics earn Shafali Verma women’s honour
On the women’s side, Shafali Verma was recognised for a memorable all-round display in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 final. Drafted into the squad as a late replacement, the 21-year-old seized her opportunity on the grandest stage.
Opening the batting against South Africa, Shafali struck a fluent 87 off 78 balls, the highest score by an Indian opener in a Women’s World Cup final, to help India post a commanding 298/7. She then made a decisive impact with the ball, dismissing Suné Luus and Marizanne Kapp to derail South Africa’s chase, earning the Player of the Match award.
“It ended far better than I could have imagined,” Shafali said, calling the honour special after contributing to India’s maiden Women’s World Cup title. Both awards were decided through a combination of global fan votes and expert panel selection, capping a memorable November for two players who delivered when it mattered most.
