It is time for the second Semi-final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, as the India vs England match on Thursday night (March 5) will decide who will face New Zealand in the Final of the tournament on Sunday night (March 8) at Ahmedabad. 

Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is ready to host the second Semi-final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. 

Hosts and defending champions India finished Group A of the group stage by winning all four matches against the United States, Namibia, Pakistan (in Sri Lanka), and the Netherlands. In the Super Eights, India finished second in Group 1, losing to South Africa before beating Zimbabwe and the West Indies to secure a spot in the Semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the two-time champions England were runners-up in Group C of the group stage, where they lost against the West Indies but closely defeated Nepal, Scotland, and Italy. In Group 2 of Super Eights, England won all three of their matches to finish top of the points table of the group, where they beat the hosts Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and New Zealand.

England captain Harry Brook won the toss and chose to field first.
