ICC postpones Doha meeting due to ongoing Israel–Iran conflict
The ICC has postponed its March 25–27 governance meeting in Doha due to the ongoing US–Israel–Iran conflict, with the gathering now expected to be held next month.

The three-day International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting, slated to be held in Doha, Qatar from March 25 to 27, has been rescheduled. The move was made in light of the ongoing conflicts that involved the United States, Israel, and Iran. The development has led to confusion over global travel and security. As a result, the governing body decided to delay the meeting.
According to an ICC source, the meeting is now being deferred to next month. However, it will still take place in the same continent. A formal communication regarding the postponement was sent to ICC members on Saturday. The message was circulated just a day before the T20 World Cup final between India and New Zealand in Ahmedabad.
The March 25-27 meeting was expected to be attended by ICC Board Directors, Chief Executives, Committee Members and senior leadership "as part of the organisation's ongoing governance calendar, providing an important opportunity to deliberate over key matters pertaining to the present and future of the global game."
ICC’s Engagement With Cricket Development in Qatar
The ICC had earlier selected Qatar as the host venue due to the country’s growing involvement in cricket. The governing body has been working closely with the Qatar Cricket Association and the Qatar Olympic Committee. These partnerships have helped promote the sport in the region.
"The ICC's support of and collaboration with the Qatar Cricket Association and Olympic Committee, Cricket in Qatar has fuelled remarkable progress for the sport in recent years," the ICC had said in a release on February 22.
