Legendary Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer hilariously trolled Pakistan after their sudden U-turn on the boycott threat for the T20 World Cup 2026 match against India. He shared the famous meme “Are tu jaa re” from the Bollywood cult film Hera Pheri to mock the Men in Green.

However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) later withdrew its stance after meetings with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday, February 9. With the match now set to be played as scheduled, Wasim Jaffer took a dig at Pakistan by sharing the meme on social media.

The former India opener wrote on X, “If you know you know.” His post came after Pakistan’s sudden change in stance, and it quickly caught attention on social media.
Pakistan began their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with a close three-wicket win over the Netherlands at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. They will face the United States of America (USA) at the same venue on Tuesday, February 10. India also won their opening match, beating the USA by 29 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side will now play Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday, February 12.
ICC Confirms IND vs PAK Match
Pakistan confirmed on Monday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has asked the team to play the T20 World Cup 2026 match against India. The International Cricket Council (ICC) later issued a statement to confirm that the match will go ahead as planned.
The ICC said that talks with the PCB were held to ensure cooperation and commitment from all members. The council added that all teams will respect their obligations so the tournament can run smoothly. India and Pakistan have faced each other eight times in T20 World Cups, with India leading the head-to-head record 7-1.
