India are expected to reveal their 15-member squad for the away three-match ODI series against Australia down under as some of the notable members of the side, including Shubman Gill and Jasprit Bumrah, are likely to get rested.

India will start their preparation for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2027 in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia through the three-match ODI series against Australia down under from October 19, as the opening clash will take place at the Optus Stadium in Perth. It will be the return of the two veterans- Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who have retired from both T20Is and Tests.
Rohit Sharma, who won the Champions Trophy 2025 beating New Zealand in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, is likely to lead the side, while Yashasvi Jaiswal could get his first smooth chance at the opening position in the probable absence of Shubman Gill, who is expected to get a break ahead of a long home season.
