The Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 will be held in Dubai from August 28, as the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has confirmed. The eight-team competition will begin with Hong Kong taking on Thailand in a Group A fixture, while the most-anticipated fixture between India and Pakistan in the same group will happen on September 05.
Recently, the two teams graced the field during the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Edgbaston as the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side won the contest quite easily by 64 runs. India posted 170/6 and then bowled the opponents out for 106, powered by Deepti Sharma’s career-best 5/10.

India, Pakistan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and China are slotted in Group A of the competition, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates. The blue brigade will start their campaign on August 30 against Thailand.
They will shift their focus to the second clash against Hong Kong on September 03, while the third game will be against Pakistan on September 05.

Five days later, the first semifinal will take place on September 10, with the second semifinal taking place on the following day. The final will be on September 13, as all the games will be held at the Dubai International Stadium under lights at 8:00 pm IST.
Even though the official confirmation is pending, the Star Sports Network and JioHotstar are likely to show the games of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026.
India vs Pakistan in Women's Asia Cup: A look at their head-to-head history
India and Pakistan have faced each other for a total of six times in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup, where the blue brigade has won five times while the Pakistan side has secured only one victory. From 2012 to 2018, in all four editions of the competition, the blue brigade has won the clash against the arch-rivals.
The only win for the Pakistan side in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup came in 2022 in Bangladesh, where the former won the encounter by 13 runs. In the previous edition of the event between the two sides, India won the group-stage clash by seven wickets.
On September 05, 2026, they will meet each other for the seventh time in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup.
