After the end of the three-match T20I series between India Women and Zimbabwe Women, which the hosts won with complete dominance of 3-0, the hosts started the ODI series with the same progression and earned a thumping victory as the focus moves to the second ODI of the series.  

During the opening ODI of the series, the Smriti Mandhana-led side bundled out the tourists for just 197 runs in the first innings in 49.5 overs before completing the chase comfortably by nine wickets with nearly 23 overs to spare. Pratika Rawal remained unbeaten on 100 runs off just 96 balls.

The second ODI of the three-match series between India Women and Zimbabwe Women is scheduled to take place on October 25 at the BCA Stadium, Kotambi in Vadodara on 2:00 pm IST. The same venue will also host the third fixture of the series on October 28. 

The series, despite coming with less challenge, will be vital for the blue brigade ahead of the next year’s Champions Trophy 2027 at home.
