The Indian and Punjab Kings (PBKS) spinner from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Yuzvendra Chahal, has found himself in the media again during the competition, as the influencer and actress, Taniya Chatterjee, has claimed that he had sent her a direct message on the Instagram story that he leaked to the media. 

Punjab Kings have now found themselves in second place in the points table with three victories in four encounters, with the one ending in a wash-out affair against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Under Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy, they have been phenomenal with the bat and ball.

Alleged chat involving Yuzvendra Chahal surfaces online

The actress, who is known for her bold roles in Ullu, has revealed that the leg spinner had sent him a direct message on Instagram after reacting to one of her photos. In that message, the Haryana spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, wrote to Taniya, “Aap cute ho (you are cute).” 

In the clip that went viral on social media platforms, the actor is seen showing her phone to the media, besides sharing a chat window that she claimed is with Chahal. When she was asked about the cricketer, Taniya said that she had seen the DM quite late, so she didn’t reply to the spinner.

The incident has put Chahal’s personal life into the spotlight once again. After the split from Dhanashree Varma last year, the spinner has been in online discussions and rumors, as his name has also been linked with RJ Mahvash, and they later got separated.
