A different training session for India ahead of the IND vs AUS 2nd ODI of the 3-match series. Star players like Virat Kohli, captain Shubman Gill, and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer were not there during the training season.

Tomorrow (October 23), India and Australia are scheduled to face each other for the second match of the series. Australia, with a win, has the advantage to wrap up the ODI series by picking two consecutive wins. For India, the next match for them is a must-win scenario. If they manage to win at the Adelaide Oval, then the scoreline will be 1-1, but if they lose, Australia will win the competition before playing the third game.

A day before the match, the weather in North Adelaide was sunny but very windy and cold. Players were seen in jackets even during the nets. More than the batting practice, coaches look more focused with their bowlers. Team India bowling coach Morne Morkel spent a good amount of time with the pacer Mohammed Siraj. All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and spinner Kuldeep Yadav also looked focused during the session.

Why Virat, Gill and Iyer were not in the net?

Most of the players of the squad were there for the training except Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and Virat Kohli. It was an optional training, so players had the option to skip. In the previous match, India lost against the home team in an unconventional manner. On a bouncy track, the star-studded batting lineup collapsed quickly. Axar Patel and KL Rahul were the only two batters who pushed the run wheel of Team India.

Virat Kohli skipped the training session, but Rohit Sharma was there, rehearsed his batting, and paid focus on the timing. Yashasvi Jaiswal also there, who did both batting and bowling. KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel were pretty active with their batting in the nets. Rahul did some wicketkeeping practice as well. As of now, no injury threats in the Men in Blue brigade.
