Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has responded to Rishabh Pant’s request for land in the state, assuring the Indian wicketkeeper-batter of all possible help. Dhami acknowledged Pant’s contribution to Uttarakhand and said that officials have been instructed to look into his request.

Praising Pant as the “pride of Uttarakhand,” Dhami said the cricketer’s wish to return to his roots and contribute to his home state is commendable. He added that the concerned officials have been asked to contact Pant and provide all possible assistance as per the existing rules.

Pant had made his request in an X post late last night, saying he wanted to return to his roots and stay closer to his home state. He said that despite trying for several years, he had not been able to find land that suited his requirements. Responding to Pant today, Dhami said, “Instructions are being issued” to help address the cricketer’s request.

Rishabh Pant made a personal appeal to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, seeking help in acquiring land in his home state. The India wicketkeeper-batter wants to shift his base from Delhi and build his first home in Uttarakhand. Responding to Pant’s appeal, CM Dhami praised the cricketer and called him the “pride of Uttarakhand.” “Dear Rishabh, you are the pride of Uttarakhand. With your splendid performance and achievements, you have illuminated the name of Devbhoomi in the country and the world,” Dhami wrote. He also praised Pant’s strong connection with his home state and his desire to return and contribute to its development.

Dhami also assured Pant that the government would provide all possible assistance regarding his request. “Regarding the matter you have raised, instructions are being issued to the concerned officials. They will soon contact you and ensure all possible cooperation in accordance with the rules,” he added. The response came soon after Pant’s midnight appeal on X, drawing attention to his plans to return to his roots.

Addressing Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, he wrote, “Hello sir, how are you? It’s been a long time for me, especially being a local from Uttarakhand. I have been trying to buy land to shift my base from Delhi to Uttarakhand, but I couldn’t find anything suitable and big enough to live here. I love my Uttarakhand. My humble request.”

Pant further asked the government to help him purchase land at government rates so that he could build his first home in the state. “A gift would be lovely to represent our state at the highest level on international stages, but if you allow me, I want to buy it from the government at their rates. At least, I can have my first house built in my own state and our state. Please be helpful. Seriously, I didn’t know how to do it,” Pant added.
